International Students: Grades 7-12
Students are integrated into regular Canadian classes and may take the classes for audit or credit. The number of international students per class will be limited to ensure that the students have maximum opportunity to develop English language skills and to integrate with Canadian students.
To become a student of John Knox Christian High School is to become a part of the JKCS community. It is a community that is committed to educating students from a distinctive Christian perspective, challenging them to discover, grow and use their unique gifts, helping them to understand Christ’s love for them, and equipping them to serve and lead with His love in a rapidly changing world.
Our curriculum is taught from a Christian perspective and meets the requirements set by the BC Ministry of Education. All teachers employed by John Knox are committed Christians, certified by the Ministry of Education, and dedicated to the vision and mission of JKCS.
Students who want to study at John Knox should be committed to their studies, willing to speak only English in class, open to exploring the Christian worldview, excited about making new friends, and willing to follow the school regulations and policies.
Please note: All students without BC resident status will be charged at International Student tuition rates until eligibility requirements for local student funding have been met.
International Students must live with a parent full time. Include a copy of parent work or study permit.
Students entering Grades 7 – 12 need to complete the International English Language Testing System (Academic) and include the test results along with the completed application form and application fee. The application form is available here.
