The Knox Walk is Tomorrow! Saturday May 29 at 11am

Fera Gunawan Times News, Upcoming Events

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing students for their excitement in fundraising for the Knox Walk. We know it feels a little different this year, and we’re grateful for all of the parents and staff who have helped to encourage students in so many ways. We hope and pray that next year we can be together again as a community marching through the streets of Burnaby and New Westminster. The sea of red t-shirts will be back!

It is a privilege and a blessing to have the opportunity to raise money for our school and for our community. The elementary campus is already enjoying the beautiful flower boxes and benches in the back field and will get an additional outdoor refresh over the summer. The secondary campus has been hearing the sounds of construction this week as work begins to make the rooftop space a place of physical activity, hands on learning, and the simple enjoyment of being outside. Our friends at the New West UGM will use our 10% tithe to directly impact the lives of those struggling with poverty, homelessness and addiction in our community. Thank you to everyone who has given freely to support these initiatives.

Some important reminders:
· Wear a red tshirt
· Be prepared for the weather – sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle if it’s sunny, a raincoat and umbrella if it’s raining!
· Consider safety if you’re doing a neighbourhood clean up on your walk

Don’t forget to take photos of your walk! You can send them to development@johnknoxbc.org, tag John Knox on Facebook or Instagram, or send them as a direct message on Facebook or Instagram. We can be found on both social media platforms at @johnknoxbc.

The grand total and prize winners will be announced next week. Donations received by the start of the walk will be counted towards individual and class prizes.

God bless you as you walk, and before you go sing along to our traditional Knox Walk sending song: We Are Marching in the Light of God https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SOWN0_0lrk
