This is JKCS’s first year with Grade 12 graduates, and we are excited to source scholarships to award students in a variety of areas. Some scholarships from Carver are continuing, but we are actively looking for new scholarships to offer our hardworking Grade 12’s this year and into the future.
Would you or your business like to contribute towards a JKCS scholarship? Here is some information to get you started!
- How much money are scholarships? Typically, they are between $250 and $2000 per year
- How many years will the scholarship be offered for? Many scholarship commitments are between 2 and 5 years
- Will I get a tax receipt? Yes! You will receive a tax receipt for the full value of your scholarship donation
- Who chooses which student get the scholarship? There is a scholar- ship committee of secondary teachers and parents
- Will I know who gets my scholarship? Yes, you will be invited to the Convocation Ceremony
- What kind of scholarships are you looking for? Any area you choose! Leadership, service, academic achievement, athletics, arts, or for future study in a specific area (trades, ministry, engineering, business, etc). Or, you can leave it up to the school.
- Will the scholarship have my name on it? It’s up to you! You may want your scholarship in memory of a loved one, in your name or business name, or you may choose to be anonymous. For further information please contact Arusha in the Development Office at 604.522.1410, or avegt@johnknoxbc.org.
