Last Friday, the Bantam girls played in their first tournament of the season! They were able to wear their JKCS jerseys with pride as they played against other schools. The girls won their first game against Lions Gate Christian Academy and played a tied game against Meadowridge School resulting in second place in our pool! The girls played hard against Khalsa Secondary, but lost, resulting in 5th place in the whole tournament. As their coach, I was so proud of each of the girls and their ability to support one another. The girls came into this tournament feeling nervous and were able to walk away learning the importance of communication, teamwork and perseverance!
I can’t wait to keep coaching these girls and watching them develop into young volleyball athletes.
