This year 7A has been given the opportunity to help care for our environment with a series of Creation Care Challenges. As a class we were determined to make this a fun and interactive experience for everyone by coming up with creative challenges, such as trying to pack a garbage free lunch or going a whole week without using any kinds of plastic.
We were challenged to show the school how we, as a community, could directly impact the environment for the better in small ways. Over the course of a few months, we bonded and got to know each other better as a class, as well as learnt small ways to make a big difference in our environment. As Margaret Mead once quoted, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
