Secondary Campus COVID-19 Protocol Update

Fera Gunawan Times News

Praise God! We give Him thanks! Firstly, we are grateful that COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are decreasing in our region. Secondly, we are grateful that students and staff absences have stayed relatively low throughout the fifth wave. Thirdly, we are grateful for our community of families, learners, and educators who demonstrated care for each other during this time by following the guidelines and adhering to the health and safety policies so diligently.
Beginning Monday, February 28th, at the JKCS Secondary Campus, we will be able to provide increased opportunities for students to socialize, move freely throughout the building, and participate in extracurricular clubs. All students will finish the day at the regular times (no staggered exit), and students will no longer be restricted to separate entrances and exits. Students can move through the hallways with masks during lunch after they finish eating in their homerooms. Student-athletes will be able to enjoy support from spectators (50% capacity). Clubs, free-play in the gym, and courtyard use will also resume!
Although the situation is improving, it is important to remember that the pandemic is not over. May we remain united in our love for Christ by continuing to show steadfast consideration for one another and our wider communities. We will continue to follow the guidance of the Ministry, as this has served us well as a community and will position us for further success in the months to come.
