TO PARENTS:

Below is the re-registration form to be completed for each of your children currently enrolled at this school. Due to Government regulations, we are required to have a re-registration form for each student, each school year. Please fill out the form below for each child that you have attending the school.

THIS FORM WILL BE USED TO ASSESS OUR STUDENT COUNT FOR THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR, 2024-2025. It will also help us to determine how many new students we can accommodate K-12.

Kindly fill out the Re-Registration form on or before February 4, 2024.

TUITION OBLIGATION POLICY*:
After submitting this re-registration, parents/guardians confirm this student will be attending John Knox Christian School (JKCS) again the following school year. Changes in this decision made on or before June 30, 2024 will be assessed a $300 withdrawal fee. Changes made after July 1, 2024 will be assessed one month tuition as withdrawal fee.
JKCS expects the student to remain enrolled and parents/guardians to pay the tuition for which the student is being enrolled even if the student does not attend school during all or part of the school year.

REFUND & WITHDRAWAL POLICY*:
Exceptions to this tuition obligation may be made at the discretion of the Business Office only in extraordinary circumstances, such as a family relocation out of Greater Vancouver or a medical emergency. The following stipulations apply in withdrawing from John Knox Christian School (JKCS):
1. A request must be made to the school office in writing by email to admin@johnknoxbc.org, explaining the reasons for withdrawal.
2. A request for withdrawal must be made at least 30 days in advance and the family is responsible for the tuition up to the last day of the month of the student’s attendance plus one additional month as withdrawal fee.
3. If parents/guardians have prepaid tuition fees in the fall and if the family has remaining tuition balance for a refund, we will issue a cheque in Canadian currency to the original payer for the refundable amount.
4. If the parents/guardians pay tuition through monthly installments by pre-authorized debit (PAD), the remaining balance of all outstanding tuition payments will be charged to their bank account directly by PAD within ten calendar days of withdrawal, along with any other outstanding school fees including but not limit to ChromeBook fee, library books and textbooks dues, band trip fee, mission fee, athletics team fee, etc.
5. Application fees and tuition deposits are non-refundable.

TUITION COLLECTION POLICY*:
All tuition payments must be made either (1) in full with discount, by cheque dated on or before September 1st of the school year, or (2) by monthly pre-authorized debit directly through a local bank account on the first of every month. NSF or returned payment is subject to a $2O charge per transaction. Overdue accounts will be addressed in accordance with the school's accounts receivable collection policies and may be sent to a collection agency if still unpaid after 120 days. If you anticipate a problem in meeting your tuition payments, please advise the Business Office immediately. If you indicated payment will be made by cheque, however your cheque does not physically arrive at our business office located at our elementary campus on or before September 1st of the school year, we will go ahead and process your tuition by monthly pre-authorized debit through the bank account you provided.

FIELD TRIPS/OFF-CAMPUS PERMISSION*:
Students may be involved in a variety of low risk activities that involve leaving the school grounds on foot and participating in field trips or exploratory day trips during the school year. These outdoor learning trips provide invaluable learning experiences for students to encounter God's creation and His fingerprints in nature. If activities are considered medium to high risk, an additional permission form with detailed information will be provided. By allowing your child to participate in low risk off-campus outdoor activities, you are accepting the risk of any accident (including but not limited to tripping, slipping, falling, twisted ankles, vehicular/pedestrian collision, etc.), if one should occur. For grade 10 to 12 students ONLY, they may go off-campus during lunch time as well.
