Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion;
He will comfort all her waste places.
And her wilderness He will make like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness will be found in her,
Thanksgiving and sound of a melody.
I asked a fellow JKCS Admin for an idea for a newsletter article and the response was “How about the Israelites in the desert?”. Good idea!
JKCS is on a compelling and faith led journey. Our “desert” is the challenge of a distinctly complex and completely changed model for the delivery of education; one, however, that continues to adhere to programs and best practices we have built to date. JKCS K – 12 offers one of the strongest educational platforms in the province in the context of a faith community, and the added context of complex difficulties serves to strengthen our planning process.
In the midst of significant bumps in the road, our teachers, administrators, students and parents respond and adapt in ways that vitally support the learning, faith and community of our students.
Like the Israelites experiencing God’s blessings through their desert journey, the journey of JKCS this year cannot be defined by struggle but rather by God’s grace and provision.
