Grandparents’ and Grand-friends’ Day 2019 (Elementary Campus)

Tim Chan Times News

On April 26, the elementary campus welcomed over 300 grandparents and grand-friends for a wonderful morning of food, fellowship, and music. Grandparents were treated to treats and coffee served by keen Grade 6 students, whose duties also included acting as greeters, ushers, parking attendants, set up, clean up and more! Guests and staff alike were impressed by the Grade 6 students warm greetings and smiling service. Mrs. Shrimer and Mrs. Visser led each grade in a specially prepared song, including a sneak peak of the musical “Good Kings Come in Small Packages” by the Grades 3 and 4 students.

Many thanks to everyone who helped prepare for this special day! Parents and students helped set up, hang up art, help in the kitchen, serve, and clean up. Thank you to all the wonderful parents who donated baked goods or other treats for our guests to enjoy. A special thank you to Pastor and former JKCS staffer Jon Caramay for his message to our guests! And a huge thank you to those parents in leadership roles: Jessica May, Sandra Wong, Grace Sarabun, Deb Bliss, and Flora Cheung – we could not have done it without you.
