Our Girls Floor Hockey team had so much fun playing in the 2020 CESS Grade 6-7 Girls ‘A’ Floor Hockey tournament on March 3rd! We faced off against Surrey Christian in our first game and won 5-0.
Next, we played against White Rock and our girls held on to a 0-0 tie that went into overtime! White Rock scored and we played Regent Christian Academy next. We won 4-1 and our girls did an excellent job demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship and cheering for both teams.
In the semi-finals, we played against the third place team and won again, 5-0. We advanced to the championship game and played White Rock Christian. Our girls never gave up; we battled hard and took lots of great shots, but White Rock managed to get one goal for a final score of 0-1. Our girls held their heads high and proudly brought home a silver trophy after playing as the only team made entirely of grade sixes! Way to go, Hawks!
