Dear JKCS families,
I know it has been some time since you have heard from the counselling department via this newsletter, and I thought that this would be a perfect time to reconnect with you all.
A year ago we were just dipping our toes into the chaotic waters of COVID-19, not knowing that a year down the road, we would still be swimming in its murky waters. The feelings that such a thought may elicit could be hopelessness, sadness, grief, possibly even some anger, and all of this is for good reason.
In this brief writing, I wanted to encourage you because you all have pressed through and despite all the challenges this year has presented, you have continued to move forward, parent your children, holding that sliver of hope safely in the back of your mind. Now, with this spring break, rest, play, laugh, find those little moments of joy hidden in each day. Remember, as Romans 8:18 tells us, that “the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if your child is needing counselling, or if you would like resources to help you support your child.
God Bless,
Ms. Megan M.A., CCC
