Farewell from Counselling Team

ArushaTimes News

“Dear John Knox Students and Families,
At the end of January, I will be completing my counselling position at John Knox and will be transitioning my work into private practice as my family and I have recently moved out of Vancouver. This change is altogether bittersweet as it has been such a joy and privilege to work with this community at both the secondary and elementary campuses.
I have felt very honoured to work with your children, and by extension to get to know you and families better. Thank you for your openness and for giving me the cherished opportunity to walk with you through the challenging and joyous stages of life.
I pray that the Prince of Peace will enter your hearts and homes this Christmas season and for great hope to be found in His goodness. Please feel most welcome to stay in contact with me by emailing at
Every blessing, Cynthia Chernoff

“Hi Students, Staff and Families at JKCS:
It has been my delight to serve you as a school counsellor this past year. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you, and will always remember my time at JKCS with fondness. I am leaving JKCS to work full time at my private practice – Blossom Counselling Services. I’d love to keep in touch – please feel free to contact me at lyn@blossomcounsellingservices.com. I pray that this holiday season “the God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
Warmly, Lyn Unger”
