Elementary: Grandparents’ and Grand-Friends’ Day

ArushaTimes News, Upcoming Events

April at the elementary campus usually includes school wide preparations for Grandparents’ and Grand-Friends’ Day. Classes are perfecting their musical performances, parents are preparing food and decorations, and Grade 6 students are learning how to serve hot coffee with a smile (and without spilling!). For those of you who are newer to our school community, Grandparents’ Day is a day when students invite their grandparents or grand-friends (like a senior friend from church) to our school for a morning of fun and fellowship. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to thank God for the gift of these special people in our students’ lives. This year we are sad to say that we are unable to welcome grandparents into our school due to Covid safety concerns, but we hope and pray that we will be able to welcome them back next year. To all the JKCS grandparents: We miss you!!
