Dear K-3 parents,
This week your child went to the church across the street for the first time to practice on the stage for our Christmas presentation. We are trying our best to prepare a wonderful variety of music, art and movement to share with you as we anticipate the celebration of Jesus’ birth.
Next week on Tuesday, November 23 we will do a video recording of each class sharing their music on stage at the church. Grades K and 1 will perform in the morning and grades 2 and 3 in the afternoon. Each class will share their music with the other classes at their own grade level so they can perform live for a small, supportive audience. This is a special Christmas presentation and we ask you to send your child to school in a nice outfit. We do not expect that you purchase new clothes or shoes for this recording, but it would be great if students could dress up in something different than their regular school clothes.
Our goal is to share this special presentation with family and friends of John Knox as a YouTube premiere at 7:00pm on Thursday, December 9.
It is a joy for me to work with your child as we practice, make mistakes, share ideas, memorize patterns, play instruments and try our best. Perhaps you are hearing all about music classes and practices but you will have to wait a few weeks to see, hear and enjoy the whole presentation. It will be great!
Thanks for all your support.
Musically yours,
Mrs. Rebecca Visser
