What are we intimating to our community, friends and family or saying about our faith when the message that is projected might be one of disdain for a year that has past?
Rather, let’s remember 2020 with a measured degree of gratitude as we also look to the opportunities for 2021 with grateful anticipation. It was all a part of God’s plan for our world … not punishment, but a plan generously infused with unanticipated blessings. And His plan for us continues.
Our students, your children are resilient! They have achieved more in a year of addressing unknowns that they could possibly experience through content driven curriculum or routinized lives. They faced the challenge of dramatically re-focused brains, not brains and experiences that suffered in hibernation.
In my smaller world, Joy (my wife) and I learned a little bit more about what retirement might look like and we thrived in many ways!
We welcome our students back to emerging new realities. Realities that they will learn to manage. Challenges as opportunities. Challenges they will overcome. And they will continue to thrive with the guidance of competent staff and a loving and faithful community.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Blessings and a Happy New Year!
