For our story unit, students drew, designed, and created their own mini characters. Afterwards, students went outside and made the settings for their stories using materials found in our school yard. Imagination was an important part of creating, telling, and writing their own story. It was a lot of fun!
“One day Little Fox Boy was dreaming. He was walking an imaginary plank. Or was he? When he woke up, he was walking a plank and he was about to fall off. Luckily he had a rope and quickly he took hold of the rope and made it into a lasso and threw the lasso around the plank and got back up onto the top of the plank. When he got to the top, he went back home. He lived happily ever after. The end –By Cole P.”
“Once upon a time, there was a character named Jumperfrog. He had a show at night. He was practicing the moves. Suddenly he jumped in the river. He tried to jump but the wave was too strong! He found a wood. He swam to the wood. The wood wiggled. There he jumped to the wood. And he jumped to the bridge. Now he did the show. Everyone loved it. The end –By Sheldon C.”
