John Knox Christian School was established in 1955 by faithful Christian parents who desired Christian education for their children. The school was begun with much sacrifice and dedication, and to this day it continues to be upheld in the same way.
Over the years, the John Knox community has greatly diversified; today over 50 nationalities are represented in our student population.
In 2005, after recognizing the need for a Christian high school in Burnaby, John Knox partnered with Vancouver Christian School to launch Carver Christian High School at 7650 Sapperton Avenue in Burnaby, transforming John Knox into a K-12 school.
From 2008-2010 the John Knox Christian School building was torn down and rebuilt and in March of 2010, its new doors were opened to offer (along with the history and foundations of a 55-year-old school) the new, fresh technologies and amenities of a brand new building.
Today, John Knox has grown to 350 students, with over 240 families and more than 40 staff. John Knox continues to offer excellent Christian education from Kindergarten through Grade 12, and is committed to the same Christian foundations in education as those established back in 1955.
